The inhabitants of London’s answer to Christiania form a united front against gentrification and the dictatorship of normality.

Cities are changing, and new borders are being drawn between those who are in and those who are out. On the outskirts of London, a loose community of artists and misfits have come together to choose the free life on the periphery. ‘Here for Life’ engages them in an open, participatory and performative process based on their own thoughts and experiences. A democratic approach, which creates an open and collective narrative about a place and about the people who built it. But the pressure of norms and the ubiquitous gentrification of the city are never far away.
